AMONG THE MAASAI & LESSONS IN HOPE
In the late 1990s, Juliet Cutler lived in Tanzania where she taught at the first secondary school for Maasai girls in East Africa. In her memoir, Among the Maasai, she bears witness to the stories of her Maasai students and paints a powerful picture of daily life in Tanzania from the 1990s to today. In her second book, Lessons in Hope, a cadre of Maasai women convey the ways education has transformed their lives.
